We have obtained a small quantity of ETA 2824-2 automatic movements for the next few limited 1980 RN divers watches.
"The 1980 RN Divers Automatic originally issued to RN Clearance Divers, NSN 0552/9237697. This watch actually superseded the Rolex MilSub on the wrists of Royal Navy divers, and its first version, with a self-winding mechanical movement, is far rarer than the Rolex it replaced." Love the watch and got what I wanted. It’s just a shame that for the price the dial couldn’t be aligned properly. This one issue really kills the vibe of the watch as it’s all that I look at. Wish it could be fixed. Regardless the watch is here to stay.
I own this watch since a while now and I absolutely love it.
It is really well built, works like a charm and very pleasing aesthetically.
Everything is to like about it. Sure it is pricier than other options from CWC but worth every penny. One of the last affordable military spec, historically correct (beside tritium) still in production and available. I would highly recommend you grab one while these are still available. I am sure you will enjoy every second wearing it. My second option in the line up would be the quartz 1983 version.
I've been wanting the CWC Royal Navy for over 20years but have been putting it off. I recently pulled the trigger on the RN 1980 reissue and I am totally loving it! Its been on the wrist every day since i received it and it puts a smile on my face. Feels solid and keeping great time with plus 3 minus 3 sec per day! Thos is a piece that i will be passing down to one of the grandchildren.
As a huge fan of watches and movies I recognized in MEG 2 what a very cool watch Statham is using and I know that he is a huge watch lover and collector. With my experience from different articles and videos about the milsub I knew directeley why he is wearing this watch. The Royal Diver Reissue is made with high qualitiy and the movement runs very presize. Ordering and shipping process to Germany runs without and problems. Thanks to Silvermans for the Great Service.
This Re-issue has been produced very accurately and sympathetically and I love it. From the aging colour of the dial, to the special movement to the rareness of the original model it’s a no brained buy one before they are gone ….
